Wine Preserver

Once a bottle of wine is opened, oxidation begins as the wine is exposed to air and after a couple of days the flavour deteriorates. Boxed wine or "goon bag" wine (arguably the greatest invention to come from Australia) solves the oxidation problem by containing the wine in an airtight blader, this dramatically extends shelf life after opening.
The problem is most wine sold as boxed wine is usually cheaper and not as enjoyable as wine found in more expensive glass bottles. This simple project preserves quality wine, so it can be enjoyed over many days, by transferring it into a "goon bag".
Supplies
2-liter Boxed wine
2-3 bottles of quality wine
Empty the Boxed Wine

Empty the boxed wine by either drinking, using it for cooking or pouring it down the sink.
- Open the top of the box.
- Remove the plastic bladder.
- Remove the tap by prizing it off with knife.
Pour in Quality Wine and Enjoy

- Rise out the empty bladder with water (optional).
- Open 1--3 bottles of quality wine and pour into the bladder.
- Replace the tap by clipping it back on.
- With the tap at the top, squeeze out any air until wine just starts to come out.
- Place the blader back into the box.
Now quality wine can be enjoyed over many days without the psychological pressure of consuming all of it once opened.
Rose Wine

Rose wine can be created by pouring in a bottle of white wine into the bladder after the red is finished. It can then be placed in the fridge, ready for next time.
