Started out by taking apart the wine opener and flattening out the pieces in preparation for laser cutting

I mapped out the pitch I needed on a broomstick

then I started wrapping a PVC rod to match the pitch with an industrial heat gun

In order to hold the PVC in place, I drilled a hole through the PVC and the broomstick and used a wooden rod to bolt it into place and prevent it from moving while I kept wrapping the rest of the PVC

After I finished the wrapping, I sharpened the tip with a Dremel and filled the holes with CarKit

Finished it off with primer coat in preparation for the final paint job

Bending Some Part

To make the metal parts, I laser cut perspex (kind of plastic) and bent the pieces with heat over templates that I laser cut with MDF

The Other Parts

Lasercutting MDF boards and using different machinery helped me shape the rest of the parts for the build

at this point I checked I see that all the pieces fit together :)

After applying a base coat of primer, I spray painted all the parts

(The small knife was laser-cut with MDF)
