White Russian: an Airplane Mini-Bottle Cocktail
I don't drink much, so keeping bottles of liquor is not a cost-effective thing to do. They evaporate before I finish them. Therefore, I'm on a quest to find cocktail recipes that use those little airplane bottles of liquor.
Supplies
- An airplane mini-bottle of vodka
- An airplane mini-bottle of KahlĂșa
- Whole milk
- Something to stir with
- There's no reason you couldn't use an iced-tea spoon; I just happen to have this cocktail spoon laying around from dreams since abandoned.
- A 12-oz. glass
- I'm using a 12-ounce Highball glass I bought on Amazon {no longer available}.
Make It!
Pour the booze into the glass. Pour milk into the glass. Stir, and enjoy!
Was It Worth It?
At $4.17 for all the ingredients, it isn't that expensive, especially when you think of what you pay at a bar. This could be made even cheaper by using some other coffee-flavored rum.
Taste-wise, the coffee flavor from the KahlĂșa comes through but is not overpowering. In fact, it is pretty much the only flavor in this drink. The milk doesn't make this as creamy as I had hoped. Next time, I'll use whipping cream instead. While I wouldn't mind having this again, I have to say with all honesty that there are other concoctions I've made in these passed few month I would prefer.
Chow for now!
