Supplies
Supplies:
- Hand Mixer is SUPER helpful
- Scale (optional)
- Mixing Bowl
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
Ingredients
To make this as easy as possible, I will split the ingredients into their respected categories.
Starting with "The Beginning"
- 1 stick of salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (100 g)
- 1 cup white sugar (112 g)
Next, we add the middle
- 1 white egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (there's never too much vanilla!)
- 3/4 cup flour (100 g)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Lastly, add the FLAVOR!
- 1 n 1/2 cups old fashioned oats (140 g)
- 1/2 cup craisins (100 g)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (100 g)
- 1/2 cup macadamia nuts (65 g)
The Beginning
Firstly, grab room temp or softened butter and add it into a bowl. If you are just pulling it out of the fridge, microwave for 15 seconds. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees at this step to ensure it is ready by the time your dough has been made. Add the brown and white sugar to the bowl and mix until everything is together. (DONT OVER STIR!!)
The Middle
During this step, we want to add the wet and dry ingredients to the mix. Add the vanilla extract and white egg to the bowl and mix until nice creamy consistency. After you have mixed together the wet ingredients, add the FLAVOR! Add the respective baking powder and soda, then add the flour. Mix everything together and make sure not to over stir. You just want to mix until everything is together nicely.
FLAVOR!
Easily, one of the best steps of making cookies. Add the macadamia nuts, craisins, white chocolate and oats to the bowl and mix. After everything is mixed together, grab your baking sheet and add a layer of parchment paper on top to make sure your cookies don't stick to the pan. Grab the dough and shape into a ball, the size of the ball dough does not matter, just be aware that these cookies EXPAND!
THE END!
Insert the cookies into the preheated oven for 12 - 15 minutes. The longer the crispier and golden brown they are. After they are cooked, take them out and let them cool for 5 minutes, you do not need to add them to the fridge, just set them aside. Finally, the BEST step, enjoy your freshly made white chocolate macadamia oatmeal craisin cookies!!!
