White Board/Lap Board: Fixed!

I love my 17"x23" white board (see image 1). In fact, I actually use it as a lap board for legos and electronics (my two main hobbies). I can sit back in my recliner and work away while jotting down notes on the white board side. I actually have several of these boards, so that I can allocate one board to each project. This way I can easily switch from one project to the next. Unfortunately, I have at times placed heavy items on the board. Then, when I move the board it causes it to bow and damage the cardboard side (see image 2). The damaged board is now more difficulty to work on since it does not provide a flat surface when held in my lap. This Instructable shows how I fixed the white/lap board.

Broken white/lap board.

Wood glue.

Water.

Paint brush (3" or more).

Stirring stick.

Container (for mixing).

1. Pour 1 part water and 1 part wood glue into the container and mix with the stirring sticks (see image 1).

2. Paint the the cardboard side of the whiteboard with the mixture (see image 2).

3. Wait two to three hours until it is completely dry (see image 3).

4. Repeat steps one through three.

The cardboard is now as strong as wood and it no longer bends when I work on it (see images 1 and 2). Originally I was going to fix the broken frame, but the cardboard is so strong now I don't need to fix the framing.
