I repurposed this beautiful Midleton Vintage Rare box to a Bluetooth speaker with two 2" speakers and a lamp holder with a retro led bulb.

Supplies

Midleton Vintage Rare whiskey box (or similar), 50w Bluetooth amplifier with two channels, 2 X 2" 8 ohm speakers with protective grills, speaker wire, 12v DC power input, lamp holder, bulb

Cabinet Preparation

Using a hole saw attachment for a power drill, create two 50mm holes in the front of the cabinet for the speakers. Create another hole on the top for the lamp holder. Two more holes are required at the rear for power cables, I used a 14mm drill bit. I used brass grommets for the holes.

Assembly

Place the speakers in the holes and secure with small screws. Using hot glue gun, stick the amplifier into the inside of the cabinet. Connect the speakers to the amplifier. A 12v power extension is run from the amplifier to a female plug at the rear of the cabinet where one of the 14mm holes was made. Use the hot glue gun to secure the lamp holder in position. Run the power cable out the back of the cabinet.

Instructions for Use.

Plug in the AC power for the lamp and switch on. Plug in a 12v DC power plug into the rear of the cabinet. Connect too the Bluetooth device and play your audio. The volume dial on the amplifier can be used to control max volume output but mostly control with your Bluetooth connected device for easier access.
