Which Materials Attract Magnets?

Magnets are everywhere; Earth is a magnet itself! In this experiment we will be using various materials to test if they are magnetic and answer the question, "Which materials attract magnets?"
Supplies

- A mix of materials (conductors and insulators)
- Arduino kit
- Alligator Clips
- LEDs
- Push Button Controller
- Switch
Attach Each Module in Arduino Kit

Use the picture above to attach each module from the arduino kit in the right spot.
Connect the Alligator Clips to Each Material

Connect the alligator clips to each material in your list.
Press the Push Button

Press and hold the push button.
Notice LED Status

Notice if the LED is glowing; if yes, observe the brightness of the LED. If the LED is on, the material is a conductor. If the LED is off, the material is an insulator.
Repeat Steps 1-4
