If you live on the grid chances are you have or will experience a power blackout.

These blackouts can be caused by many events including storms, earthquakes, natural disasters and terrorist attacks or just failed grid equipment. These blackouts may be short and just a few hours or much longer and can last weeks.

If that blackout occurs in winter it can mean no heat, frozen and busted water pipes, and severe cold can cause sickness and death. In summer it it can mean no air conditioning, no water, no way to cook and sickness and death from extreme heat.

In these videos I show you how you can make your own simple solar power system that will provide enough power for emergency use and can reduce your power bills all year and the appliances and equipment I recommend for a power emergency.

I have lived off grid for over 20 years now with just a small 400 watt solar power system and off grid heating and cooling and I live in very cold country so I know what systems and equipment works well for off grid and emergency power, heating and cooling and for basic survival needs.
