Western Waterwheel Mill Diorama

We are gonna make a really cool diorama!

In this instructable we make a cool-looking western water wheel diorama.

For this project, you will need...

Hot glue+glue gun
foam board
paint (I used acrylic)
clearcoat paint
Mini stones (Can be bought at any craft store)
Plastic wrap
sand or dirt

The best part about Instructables is that you can make any project your own! Go ahead and be unique. Make yourself a cool design that you like.

Make a simple house out of foam and then add bricks and details to your kill. Remember, be unique! Go ahead and pint it as well.

You will need to cut out your foam. Make sure to leave room for rocks and a river if you want to.

So I’m my diorama, I glued two large sheets of foam board on top of each other and then cut out the river on the top one. Go ahead and do the same if you feel like it. Add stones for a cool touch up and then cover them in clear coat.

Make a cool-looking stone hill thing out of foam and then cut an area of the top for your river to go down the waterfall. Go ahead and add some stones to the river on top Next, cover those stones in clearcoat.

So originally I was going to put a water pump in this and have real water come down, but for the sake of time, I just glued some plastic wrap on top of the river rocks and covered that in clear coat too, to make the river look like it had water rushing through it.

Paint your landscape to look like how you want it. Remember to make it your own.

Now, this isn’t necessary or required, but I thought it would look really cool, so I painted a western backdrop with some famous rock formations on it. You can do this if you would like too.
