Weird Thing, Dont Use This

Tools/Materials Used:
Miter saw
Drill/Impact driver (and bits)
8’ 2x4
Wood glue (optional)
Screws (varying lengths)
Rundown
Cut pieces to size, you're going to want to cut the angles on the whole board directly and not after cutting to length so I would highly recommend mapping out your individual cuts one at a time before making any cuts as shown below, measurements are in the images.
First Board

12 inches long 1 45 degree cut as shown
Second Board

12 inches long 2 45 degree cuts as shown
Third and Forth Board

you're going to cut 2 of these each 12 inches long and 2 45 degree cuts as shown
Fifth Board

12 inches long 2 45 degree cuts as shown
Sixth Board

12 inches 1 45 degree cut as shown
Final Board

Make this board as long as you wish, it will be the vertical leg so make it as long as you want the table to be tall, I would recommend using the remainder of your board for this piece there will be 2 45 degree cuts as shown in the picture.
Assembly

Screw every part together as shown in the picture, once that is completed you may use any sort of scrap wood cut to size as the topper for your table.
