Hello, In this project, I will make weathering on Rc T90 tank 1/16 scale from Heng Long. Heng Long Rc tank are cheap and have many models to choose from. It fun and looks realistic to the scale model. The step is simple and basic and easy to do. The result looks great. Let’s begin.

Supplies that you need to do Weathering T90’s project.

1. Heng Long T90 Rc tank (Or Other models)

2. Arcylic paints, (White, Black, Dark Brown, Yellow), paint tray, water spray, and paint brushes different sizes. (I use Liquitex Basics: Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, and Mars Black)

3. Tamiya weathering master set C, spray paint flat black.

4. Hair dryer, paper tower.

First I need to assembly the Heng Long T90 Rc tank, apply the stickers, and other things. Then prepare the T90 for paint, I use alcohol to clean of the grease and dust. At first I want to make the rust to the wheels, the tank need to lean on it side, that is the easy way to paint, you can control the paint more easy. Then I mix the dark brown (Burnt S) color by adding (Mars Black) by mixing a little at the time by adding water. Then apply the first coat, the paint will not apply on material well (This process need to apply many times, but need for the paint to dry, or use hair dryer).

The wheels have some oil leak, so in the middle of the wheel will use black color. Note that the acrylic paint, if make mistake, clean off with water and brush it off. If it stay the paint will stick on the surface. I use this color to make high light of rust through out the tank. (The rust will have different shades of colors) Next I mix Raw Sienna with water, by using the smallest brush, I paint over the dark brown, by hold the brush and gentle paint straight line. At this point the rust should be random. There are not thing wrong or the right way to paint, so feel free to do. The grove on the tank, the nuts and bolts, some panels will have rust. Then I use Tamiya weathering master set C (Orange rust) apply to high light some areas, It looks real. For the painting, I look around the tank to paint to make it look realistic.

For the machine gun, I spray with flat black and high light with the gun metal (Tamiya weathering master), Next I paint the tank with white (Use white and add more water) when I need to paint any coats, and then I (Use Mars Black by add more water) and paint over the white area that paint before (Do it lightly, Do need to be black, Just want it to look dirty). I look around the tank to see, if some parts need it to paint more. Then take some cool pictures, that it. Check out the pictures.
