Watercolor Flowers for Mother's Day

This is a gift for your awesome mom on Mother's Day. I love watercolor painting, so I did this. Try and make this the day before to give it time to dry.

Sketch

Draw the stems as long, curved lines. Make them meet at the middle and tie with a bow. I suggest using a reference photo and painting your mom's favorite flower, because it will make your gift that much more touching.
Painting

I suggest using the overlapping effect, because I know I always think it looks almost magical. Color in the flower, stem and bow, then add highlights in colors that compliment the main color.
Let Dry

You can test the dryness by pressing a tooth-pick or your finger to the paint and making sure the tooth-pick comes away dry.
