Today I bring an experiment using one of the most impressive phenomena that can be done with water at home. It consists of turning water into ice in an instant, the best of all is that it is a very easy process that we can do without problems.

we will witness supercooling, a condition of water that allows us to see how water freezes in an instant. This happens when a liquid is cooled below its freezing temperature without it becoming a solid.

Supplies

  • Bottled water
  • Freezer
  • Dish
  • An ice cube

The procedure begins by putting several bottles of water in the freezer, in a horizontal position, and keeping them for 2 and a half hours.

After the time has elapsed, You must open the bottle carefully not to hit it, and then pour the water into a plate with an ice cube. You will observe how quickly a column of ice forms. If you are curious, you can try eating it as it has a rather strange texture to describe.

You can also take the bottle, soft but forceful blow is launched and it is observed how the water freezes inside the bottle, due to the phenomenon of supercooling.
