"You can never step in the same water twice, my friend. Like flowing water, life is perpetual movement. There is nothing fixed.” -- Bruce lee
In this intructable I will share my how I made this mini water vortex fountain. Almost, all the materials used in this project are recycled...
I made this project with my son and he enjoys playing with water and experiment with things and observe how it affected the fountain, like putting a marble inside the vortex, adding a pipe or more water.. I hope you get to spend more time with your family and friends by building one..

- It is difficult to drill holes on a glass, so I will use the metal jar cap
- Drill two holes, one at the center and other near the edge
- Make sure there is enough space for a plastic pipe and that the glass jar can still be closed
- Fix the jar cap on the plastic lid of the food container using hot glue gun\
- The middle hole will be used to create a vortex or whirlpool, while the second hole will be use to pump water into the jar at an angle
Bottle Jar

- Cut the bottom of the glass jar using a glass bottle cutter
- Sand the edges smooth
- We will place the glass jar inverted on the plastic lid

- The water needs to be pumps inside the jar at an angle, so that the water moves in circular motion
- To make a "L" shaped bend pipe by heating the pipe under a flame and then bending it
- Or cut two pieces of the pipe and attach them at 90 degree by hot glue or melting them together
- The water pump is attached to a plastic pipe using a soft pvc tube, as shown
