I wanted to show you how to make a water color bookmark with water-based markers.

You'll need:

Mixed media or watercolor paper

Water brush ( I used Royal and Langnickel )

Piece of clear hard plastic shaped like a bookmark, as shown in the pictures

Water-based markers ( I used Kingart )

Starting

First, choose any color(s) of water-based markers you want. Next, draw on the plastic with them, as shown.

Then, get the water brush (which should be filled with water) and put one drop of water on every color.

Spreading the Water

Then, starting from the lightest color of marker, spread the water drop all over the color you put it on, and so on for all the colors. It should look like the second picture when you're done.

Almost Done

Next, quickly flip over the plastic without tilting the plastic, or the marker water will go everywhere. Then, press down with your finger to move the marker water so it covers all the white spots in between colors, as shown. Then, when you're satisfied, lift up the plastic, and wash off the water brush and plastic, let the marker water dry, cut out the book mark, and done!
