Washer Bracelet
I love colorful/industrial looking jewelry. One of my friends bought a washer bracelet and I was immediately jealous. After the initial jealousy subsided, I decided to try to figure out how to make them. I'm not a huge fan of video tutorials and I found a lot of those as well as some rather clumsy step by step ones, so I decided to make my own.
Materials
For this bracelet, you'll need:
Ribbon (the thickness and length will depend on the size of the washers you use and the size of your wrist. I used 1.5' of 1/2" ribbon)
Washers (any size you want. I used 5/16")
Tape
Scissors
Lighter
Needle and thread
This bracelet will take about 20 minutes and cost $5-10 depending on what you have on hand.

Prep the Ribbon
Fold the tape over one end of the ribbon so it looks like a shoe lace. This makes it a lot easier to thread it through the washers.
Weave the Washers Onto the Ribbon
This takes a little bit of practice. Rely mostly on the pictures for this part because it's a lot easier to understand that way.
Optional
For a more colorful bracelet, use nail polish or spray paint to paint the washers and string them onto colorful ribbon.
The washers I bought are flat on one side and rounded on the other. I want the rounded side up so that will change how I thread them onto the ribbon.
Thread one washer onto the ribbon face up and another face down. Leave 2" of ribbon at the end for making the clasp later.
Go over the top of the second upside down washer and back through the first washer. Pull the ribbon as tight as you'd like, The looser it is, the further apart the washers will be. Now thread the ribbon back up through the hole of the second washer.
Continue threading the washers onto the ribbon upside down because they will flip over. Check the length against your wrist periodically.

Make Clasp
When you get to the last washer, leave double the amount of ribbon in between the washers. Loop the ribbon back through the last washer and sew the ribbon together to secure the washer.
Go to the beginning of the bracelet where you left 2" of ribbon at the beginning. Measure how big your loop should be by folding the ribbon over a washer, then sew the ribbon together.

ENJOY!
Slip the last washer through the loop and flaunt your awesome new accessory.
