Wardrobe on Tension.
I needed a wardrobe, but I didn't like large boxes.
So I decided to make a wardrobe on carrier cables.
So I decided to make a wardrobe on carrier cables.
You can buy all the materials in a hardware store.
You will need:
Cable (2 identical segment)
hooks (4 pcs)
anchors or dowels (for attaching hooks to the ceiling and floor)
lanyards (2 pieces)
electrical terminal blocks for what would make stops
Steel crossbars
Tools:
drill
screwdriver
knife
measuring ruler and tape
wrench

First, you should measure the distances between the hooks you are fixing to the ceiling and the floor. The hooks in the ceiling should be placed symmetrically to the hooks in the floor. Make cable-diameter holes next to all four corners of each shelf as well as on the ends of the crossbar. Then put the construct together step-by-step by stringing its parts on the cable and fixing them with contact terminals with even spaces between elements. I used contact terminals from the terminal block because I couldn't find anything else that would work as good.
When the construct is ready, hang it on the hooks. In order to strain it, you can use lanyards. After the construct has been fixed on the hooks, you can regulate the levels if it is necessary. Finally, stretch the construct out with lanyards.
It’s very simple and can be made by intuition. I didn’t try to stick to certain measurements in the process of work.
I hope you'll find this useful.
