Wall Clock With Cardboard Hands
I made an analog clock because I didn't want the cheap clocks on amazon. So, I went to michael's and got a clock gearbox.
Supplies
Materials:
- 1 gearbox (it has to have the hanging notch, which is just a wide V-shaped piece of plastic that bends away and back to the body of the box( you get this kind of gearbox at michael's)
- cardboard
- paper clock face
Tools:
- Scissors
- Screwdrivers
Attach the Face
Glue the gearbox and clock face together.
Cut the Hands
Cut two small rectangles. One should be noticeably shorter than the other in length. Cut a point on one end with scissors and drill holes into another with the screwdriver. Then, widen the holes to the size of the shaft it's going to be on. The smaller one is going to be under the minute hand. The hour hand's hole should be a litttle wider in diameter.
Attach the Hands
Attach the hands in the twelve o'clock position (this will make sure the hour hand aligns with the hour (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 o'clock).
Done
Attach a battery, correct the hands, and hang it on the wall. It's done.
