Wall Bracket for Hanging Stuff
My wife wanted to hang a stained glass piece, but she needed a bracket that extends about 5 inches from the wall. She went to the local "big box' home improvement store and found nothing. Then she came back and made a sketch.
Five minutes worth of design later (Autodesk 123D--free) and I had a design file. After designing a few hundred bits and pieces during the last year, it really doesn't take long to put together a simple part (note: I knew nothing about 3D design before purchasing a 3D printer and I self taught--so it's really pretty easy if you stick with it).
I printed at 30% infill for strength using a Makerbot Replicator 2. Print time was 19 minutes.
