Walking Cane

I used a pond pine tree

Find Branch

Find nice branch. Look around 10 o'clock in the picture, that's the branch I cut.

Straight Body

If the branch is not straight use this method. I clamped the curved branch to my fence for a couple of days. Once dried, the branch was straight. The picture is a sample of the method I used and not the branch used for the cane.

Measure

Cut the branch according to your height. Stand straight and measure the distance from your wrist to the floor.

Assemble

Save about 6 inches for the handle. Cut a small hole about 1/4 the depth of the handle to insert the body of the cane. Drill a small hole through the handle into the body. Glue and screw the handle to the body. Wait 24 hrs to dry.

Finish

Lightly sand your cane, add a rubber foot and it's ready to go.
