Woesh Juggling Board

We, Arthur Vanmeenen, Karsten Ramaker, and Thomas Claus, in collaboration with Woesh and IPO, have created a circus instrument. This tool aids in learning to juggle while rolling, allowing the correct steps to be learned step by step. It can be adjusted to the user's skill level.

To assist with rolling the ball (which can sometimes be a bit tricky), we have made a slide where you can place the ball so that it follows a path.

In this step, we will create the male side of the towers. First, we'll use the laser cutter with the Illustrator file to cut the design from a wooden sheet. Next, align the laser-cut wood precisely with double-sided tape, as shown in the video below. Then, ensure everything is well clamped and securely fixed to proceed with the milling.

Start by sanding the surface with a coarser grit (P120) to remove all irregularities. Then use a finer grit (P240) to sand the entire surface until it feels smooth. Don't forget to lightly sand the sharp corners and edges as well, so they are rounded and comfortable to touch.

Tools needed:

  • Sandpaper P120, P240

Cost

In the documents below, you will find the cost calculation for 1 and for 4 units.

Reparation

Is there a break in one of the parts? Then go to step 12: Attachments and find the zip file with the CNC files. Remove the elements that do not need to be replaced. The part that needs to be replaced can then be cut from the leftover rubberwood material using the CNC.

If the CNC is not available, you can open the zip file with the technical drawings. The part can then be manually reproduced from the leftover material of the panel.

Materials needed:

  • CNC-file or technical drawings
  • Leftover rubberwood material
  • CNC or the appropriate hand tools
