WHITE LEGHORN
Hi guys,
Art means 'PATIENCE'; the word is enough to say about all.
I completed this project with the help of 'PATIENCE'.
This project is 99.9% made with paper, and happy to share with you how I completed it.
Supplies
- Cardstock paper-300 GSM
- Scale
- Pencil
- Paper clips
- Paper knife
- Scissors
- Glue (FEVICOL)
- Maida flour
- Tissue paper
- Gauge wire (Bend with bare hands)
- Cotton thread
- White paper -90 GSM
- Paintbrush.
MARKING
Mark 1CM in cardstock paper,
Stack max 5 cardstock sheets and clip them with paper clips.
CUTTING
By using a paper-knife cutover over marked lines.
CONVERT RINGS
By joining two ends of strips or two strips, convert rings of various diameters as you desire to make a LEGHORN body.
BODY (WITH NECK)
- With the help of the strips, stick rings and make the structure of LEGHORN.
- Join rings by strips on 4 sides.
- Use gauge wire for the basic structure of LEGHORN.
ADD MORE PIECES
- Add small pieces of strips in curved and stomach areas,
- Remove gauge wire.
MORE STRENGTH TO STRUCTURE
- Adding and adding more small pieces of strips to the structure, gives more strength to it,
- At last, don't forget to stick the shrunken paper to the head
HOT GLUE
- Its heated glue, not an hot glue gun.
- Maida flour with water turns as glue when its heated,
- Cool it and use it as hot glue.
TISSUE PAPER PACKING
- Cut tissue paper in half(not in dimension) and used,
- Apply the hot glue with tissue paper, over structure with a paintbrush,
- Let it to dry.
SHANKS AND TOES
- Use 15 CM gauge wire to make shanks and toes,
- First roll paper over gauge wire and then roll cotton thread.
ATTACH BOTH
- With the help of glue, attach shanks and toes with body structure,
- After completing, do coloring to the shanks and toes
TEMPLATE MAKING
- We require the same shape and same dimensions in lots of quantities, the template makes that process easy, to avoid doing the process again and again,
- Use cardstock paper to template,
1, FEATHERS OF BODY:
- Take 8*1.5CM In cardstock paper,
- Draw features of the body in given dimensions at the end of cardstock paper,
- And then cut the features of body shape,
- We can do process of folding and the marking at the same time by using this template.
2, FEATHERS OF NECK:
- Take 10*3 CM in cardstock paper,
- Mark features of the neck in given dimensions at the end of cardstock paper,
- Then cut features of neck shape,
- We can do the process of folding and marking at the same time by using this template.
3, FEATHERS OF TAIL:
- Take 10*3 CM in cardstock paper,
- Mark features of tail in given dimensions without the feature's cut,
- And then cut features of tail shape,
- We can do the process of folding and marking at the same time by using this template.
FEATHERS -BODY
- Use 90 GSM paper for feather making,
- Take 2 CM paper strips and cut half,
- Fold the paper in the given dimensions by using the template,
- Then mark the shape required by using the same template,
- Cut and remove unnecessary papers,
- Curl each feathers of body.
FEATHERS - NECK
- Use 90 GSM paper for feather making,
- Take 3 CM paper strips and cut them in half,
- Fold the paper in the given dimensions by using a template,
- Then mark the shape required by using the same template,
- Cut and remove unnecessary papers,
- Don't forget diamond tip cutting at the end of the process,
- Curl the feathers of neck.
FEATHERS - TAIL
- Use 90 GSM paper for feather making,
- Take 3CM paper strips and cut them in half,
- Fold the paper in given dimensions by using template,
- Then mark the shape of required by using same template,
- Cut and remove unnecessary papers,
- Cut like feathers in each papers.
STICK FEATHERS - BODY
- Start to stick, paper feathers over the structure in a circle formation,
- The Next row will be in between two feathers and hide the previous paper,
- Like these, stick paper feathers in the entire structure (except the neck),
- Don't worry about the quantity of feathers, just start to fold and cut, after couple of days, you will have accumulated enough pieces,
- At last, stick legs too.
STICK FEATHERS - NECK
- Start to stick, paper feathers in the neck over the structure in the circle formation,
- Stick feathers up to the head.
STICK FEATHERS - TAIL
Stick paper feathers in tail-inclined formation, just like LEGHORN's tail.
HEAD
- Stick with the body feature in the head, and complete it,
- Stick separate parts of the eyes, beaks, and comb also,
- Don't forget to touch up,
- Finally, adjust to finished.
FINISHED
Yet white leghorn Is Finished and ready to decor.
