Vivaro Trafic Primastar EGR Delete Blanking Kit Fitting Guide

Vivaro Trafic Primastar EGR Valve Delete
Symptoms of Fault
Loss of power, poor fuel consumption, turbo lag, rough idle, poor torque, slow engine pick-up, smokey exhaust
The Fault
Carbon build up in your vehicles EGR system is restricting air flow
Carbon rich recirculated exhaust gasses enter the intake manifold, over time carbon / coke deposits gather in the EGR valve and manifold blocking air flow. Resulting in reduced fuel economy and vehicle performance. Common symptoms of failure include; rough engine running, decreased throttle response and loss of power/torque.
The Solution
Fit our EGR kit and allow your engine to breathe once more
Eliminate the risk of future carbon build up in the EGR system. Improved torque with smoother pick up and improved fuel consumption, reduced turbo lag and less nasty exhaust fumes.
Our blanking kit is made from billet CNC machined anodised aluminium. It also comes with bolts and with a replacement metal gasket.
For off road / diagnostic use only.

You Will Receive
1 x anodised aluminium EGR blank
3 x bolts
1 x metal gasket
Supplies
You will need a 10mm socket and rachet set and a flathead screwdriver.
Remove Air Box

Insert flathead screwdriver into the notch in the airbow and pull the airbow out. Disconnect electrical connections. Use the flathead screwdriver to unscrew the hose clamp on the air inlet pipe to loosen it. Unclip the conduit from around airbox. Use a 10mm socket and rachet and unscrew the 2 nuts holding the on the air box. Remove the airbox by twisting it clockwise and pulling it towards you.
Remove Old EGR Valve

Now you have removed the airbox you will see the EGR valve sticking out from the intake manifold. Remove it by disconnecting the electrical connection to the EGR valve. Then unscrewing the three bolts using the 10mm socket and rachet (you may need a socket extension). You can now pull out the EGR valve, if it is stiff try rotating it left to right which should loosen it. Separate the actuator from the valve.
Fit the X8R EGR Blanking Kit

Clean the hole where the EGR valve sits, as it may have carbon build up. Place the new metal gasket over the EGR blank and put the blank in the intake manifold. Screw it into place with the three new bolts and torque to 9 Nm. Then refit the air box.
