Vitamin C Salad to Boost Your Immune System
When I was a child we always gargled with salt water if we were coming down with a sore throat. I have continued to do this all my life. It works. If we would gargle at the first signs of coming down with a cold several times during the day, most of the time we can prevent the full onset of a cold. Washing our hands frequently especially when we are away from home is a good cold prevention. I stumbled across an article I wanted to share with you written by a doctor. Here is the link: http://drbenkim.com/cold-flu-difference-health.html .
While trying to find foods for a raw diet I came across a website that a man mentioned that if your recipes do not follow the 5 rule plan it is not a true raw diet. I had to chuckle about his comment. Basically it was if the meal consisted of more than 5 ingredients and took longer than 5 minutes to make it was not a true raw food diet. Eating foods high in vitamin C is very good to combat a cold. This tutorial is a recipe for a salad that is high in vitamin C applying the 5 rule plan. Sunshiine's Final Thoughts
This is a very healthy, simple and nutritious salad. My family loves this salad and request it often. I also use hot peppers to help clear the mucus. I use my alligator cold pack to relieve headaches from a cold.
