Vintage Camera - Reusing Cardboard

Selecting Suitable Carton

Take a rectangular carton which is suitable for making the body of the camera 🎥📽🎥📽
Usage of Striated Cardboard


Get striated cardboard and make it as long strips. Stick it as borders to all sides of the carton.
Process of Making Eyecup

Make a 3D model of a trapezium with cardboard to create the eyecup of the camera. Attach the lenses with it.
Making View Finder and Zoom Lenses

Attach a small rectangular box at the left side of the carton. Take cardboard rolls or pipes covered with striated cardboard to some extent which resembles like zoom lens and view finder. Fix the view finder in front of the small box and stick the zoom lens at the back. The zoom lens is the part to view the focus of the screen
Making of Rotatable Options


Take striated cardboard strip and roll it into a circle. Stick it in the left side of the carton. This resembles some options like rotatable positioning knob, screen adjusting knob and zooming knob.
Process of Making Film Reels of Camera

To make the the film reels of the camera, cut 2 pairs of circles in the cardboard where 1 pair is smaller than the other one. Cut those circles accordingly which matches with the measurements of body of the camera. Make a stand where the reels of the camera sits. Then place the stand and reels above the carton.
Now the Vintage Camera Is Ready for Showcase
