Viking Horn
Today we're doing an unusual engraving project - a Viking Horn on our Speedy 400 laser engraving machine! We're engraving a pattern on both sides with a strip of TroLase Lights engraved plastic material for decoration.
Preparing the Laser
Go ahead and switch the lens off of your Speedy 400 from your usual 2 inch lens to a 4 inch lens. The reason we want a 4 inch lens is because the wider lens allows us to engrave on a much large curved object without loosing focus of our artwork.
Leveling the Horn
Create a jig to help keep the horn completely leveled.
Engraving
Place the Horn inside of your Speedy 400. Then proceed to engrave your design into the horn.
Decorations
Use TroLight material for a clean professional look to your new customized viking horn.
