Vibrofoot - Silence Your Printer

I got really annoyed by the vibrations and noise I had to endure while printing.
Especially certain diagonal movement caused everything to mae noise.
Of course I tried the usual remedies you will find in printing forums, like an enclosure, cork disks between motor and mounts and so on.
But when I had to place my subwoofer to a different spot it hit me:
Stop the vibrations from spreading and causing noie the same like on the speaker system :)

So I quickly created a resting disk and cone foot for m printer, printed it 4 times and now all the vibrations are just gone - I can barely hear the printer in use.
Although I can not confirm this for other printers but I also noticed an improvement on the surface finnish of printed parts.
In my case this relates to the high print speeds (usually around the 80-100mm/s mark) and the spring loade mount for the build plate.
Rapid moves plus the vibrations caused "wobbly" lines in some areas.
Don't mind the betterprnts but the main goal was silence and this was done good :)

My printer is an old Prusa with the threaded rod frame so I desgined the parts to fit here.
But it should wok on any other printer the same way, just print the cone with good support if you need a flat surface or close the square hole for the printer feet at the bottom.
If in doubt just ask and I might even upload a different one to fit all by gluing or screwing them on.

This is the bottom disk, here the tip of the cone will rest in the center.

The tip of this cone rests on the above disk, causing massive pressure onto a tiny spot.
As a result noise and vibrtions can no be transfered that easy and the stuff is quite :)

Works great under speakers on wooden floors too, especially if you have someone living under you.

Usage:

Well, that's where it gets really complicated...
Take four and place under the corners of your printer, somewhere that offers support or under the original feet.
If in doubt add some glue or double sided tape to hold in place.
Rest the tip in the center of the disk and you are done.
No really! It is that simple!
