Vegetable Oil Burner (very Simple)

DSCN1669.JPG

I wanted to try using some expired sunflower and canola I had oil for something useful. I filled a can with oil and suck some cardboard in for a wick and lit it. I actually wound up putting the can inside a larger can for added safety. The snuffer/lid is the bottom of a Kroger's coffee can. It's not pretty, but since the metal cans will be recycled shortly after I run out of oil, they don't need to be.

That's It!

Stuff with cardboard, fill oil, light and burn. The oil is very safe to refill compared to alcohol. You may need to add more wick material after refilling. The lid/snuffer is the bottom of a coffee can.
