Vegetable Chroma
Hello everyone !! Here is another crunchy munchy recipe for you.
Often they say that you food we eat must be very colorful with all the colors in present it. This way one would get in all the required nutrients. Vegetable Chroma is one such food, its a 'dish of color' which can be prepared in no time. Its really so easy to prepare yet its very very healthy, that even the kids would love it.
I personally have it once in a day or once in 2 days. And every time I eat, it always tastes delicious.
Ingredients Needed
(2 Servings)
- 200gms cup of corn
- 200gms cup of peas
- 150gms cabbage
- 150 gms onion
- 150gms beans
- 150gms carrot
- 150gms cauliflower
- 100gm cup bell pepper(red &onion)
- 50 gm butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon of red chilli power
- 1/2 tablespoon dry mango powder(Amchoor Powder)
- Salt as per taste
Note: There is no hard and fast rule as to what quantity of veggie you have to use, instead you may add the veggie as you like.
Boiling the Veggies
Boil the peas and corn separately buy adding salt for 7-8 mins. Do not over boil them just make sure they are in semi-raw state after boiling.
Chop the Veggies
The beauty of this dish lies in the shape in which we chop our vegetables. And, this is the only time consuming part of dish preparation.
Cut the carrot, onion in cube shape, chop the cabbage in a long finger sized shape. Cut the beans at a 60 degree angle with scissors.
You can also add any other vegetables of your own choice.
Prepare the Dish
Take a pan and put it on medium flame. Add butter and allow it to melt. Now add all the chopped veggies one by one in this pool of hot butter. Stir them for some time. Now, add the spices and mix it with all the vegetable well so that spices gets absorbed well in the veggies.
Cook it for 5 mins and your healthy Vegetable Chroma is ready.!
Serve It Hot
Transfer it in a serving bowl. Enjoy the aroma and the chroma of the veggies.
