Vegetable Cheese Wraps

Are you bored of eating normal sandwiches? Then these vegetable wraps and are perfect for a ready to go meal. These wraps makes wholesome meal and are very nutritious and healthy.

We can add any vegetables of your choice and desired fillings. We can prepare these before hand for small parties and get togethers or for a picnic.

Supplies

Ingredients required for preparing wraps:

  • One cup of All purpose flour( Maida)
  • Half teaspoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon curd or yoghurt
  • One cup Milk
  • One teaspoon Salt

Ingredients for curry:

  • One finely chopped Carrot
  • One chopped capsicum
  • Few chopped beans
  • Few chopped cauliflower
  • Four Boiled potatoes
  • One finely chopped onion
  • Two chopped green chillies
  • Few chopped garlic
  • Teaspoon grated ginger

Spices:

  • Teaspoon Coriander powder
  • Half teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • Teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Teaspoon Chat masala powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • One tablespoon tomato sauce
  • Half teaspoon lime juice
  • We also need Grated cheese and cooking oil.

Making Batter for Wraps

Take a bowl and add One cup of All purpose flour. Using All purpose flour makes the wrap soft.
Add half teaspoon sugar and two tablespoon oil.

Add Curd

Next add 4 tablespoon curd.
Add milk little by little and whisk. (Milk used should be in room temperature and not hot)

Add Milk

Add milk little by little and whisk. (Milk used should be in room temperature and not hot)
Add teaspoon salt. Batter should be thin and flowing consistency.

Preparing Wraps

Brush the pan with oil. We need very little oil.
Now take one and half laddle full of batter and pour in the middle of the pan.
Rotate in circular motion using laddle.

Flip and Cook

When upper portion of wrap is dry brush some oil on it and flip.

Wrap Is Ready

When we again flip the wrap we can see brown spots. We need to put the stuffing on this side.
Repeat the same procedure with entire batter and make all the wraps.

Preparing Stuffing

Take a pan and add little oil. When oil is heated add one finely chopped onion and 2 sliced green chillies.
Saute for few minutes.
Next add chopped garlic and grated ginger.

Add Veggies

Keep all the chopped vegetables ready. Add one finely chopped carrot and few chopped beans

Add Remaining Vegetables

Add finely chopped cauliflower and chopped capsicum.
Saute all the vegetables for some time.

Add Spices

Add teaspoon coriander powder and half teaspoon Red chilli powder.

Add Remaining Spices

Add one teaspoon chat masala powder and one teaspoon garam masala powder.
Adding all spices gives nice flavour to the curry.

Add Salt and Turmeric Powder

Add salt as per your taste and pinch of turmeric powder.
After adding all spices mix everything and cook for some time.

Add Tomato Sauce and Give a Mix

Add tablespoon tomato sauce and give a mix.

Add Boiled Smashed Potato and Lime Juice

Boil 4 potatoes and keep ready. Add the smashes potatoes and mix.
Finally add teaspoon lime juice.
Stuffing is ready.

Make All Purpose Flour Paste

Take little All purpose flour in a bowl. Add little water and make a paste.

Filling the Wrap

Now take the prepared wrap. Place little stuffing in the center of the wrap.
Add grated cheese on top of the stuffing.

Folding the Wrap

After placing the stuffing fold the top and bottom portion of the wrap towards center.
Brush little All purpose flour paste and stick the foldings.

Fold Lateral Sides

Brush little All purpose flour paste and fold both lateral sides towards center as shown in images.

Stuffed Wraps Are Ready

Prepare all the stuffed wraps and keep ready.
You can store these wraps in refrigerator in air tight container. When needed they can be shallow fried.

Shallow Fry

Last step is to shallow fry these stuffed wraps.
Brush little oil on a pan. Place the prepared wraps on it and shallow fry until they turn little brown color by flipping on both the sides.
