The Problem

The lower section of the mirror cover is damaged or lost.

As with all vehicles it is common for the wing mirrors to be knocked or hit often damaging the plastic covers. Unfortunately, with the Astra MK5 vehicles the lower section of the wing mirror is not available separately from Vauxhall or Opel. Until now it has only been possible to buy a complete mirror assembly at vast expense.

Symptoms of fault

Lower mirror cover missing, lost, damaged, tabs snapped.

Vehicles affected and compatibility

Astra H MK5 2004-2013

Will fit all variant:

Life, Club, Design, SXi, SRi, Elite, VXR, Active, Energy, Breeze, VXR Nurburgring, Twintop, Astravan, Estate, 3 and 5 door models.

Not suitable for power folding mirrors.

Our solution

We manufacture this lower cover, a direct fit, easy replacement.

We have produced this lower section plastic cover. This allows you to replace just this section without having to replace the complete mirror assembly. Providing a great saving and preventing the need to colour match.

Our part fits in exactly the same way and looks identical to the OEM part. It can be installed in minutes using our video and instruction guide.

This repair can be carried out in situ on the vehicle there is no need to remove the mirror from the vehicle.

You will receive

1x Lower mirror cover

2x Fixing screws

Pry Off Top Section

Pry off the top section of the wing mirror cover.

Using a plastic pry tool gently pry around the outer edge to remove.

Insert First Scew

Insert the first screw in to the lower cover as shown.

Leave just a 1mm gap between the screw head and the plastic.

Slide Lower Cover in to Position.

Locate the first screw head in to the groove shown here and slide the cover in to position.

Fastern Second Screw

Adjust the lower cover so it interacts with the lower part of the mirror and sits correctly.

Fasten the second screw as shown.

Refit Top Cover

Starting at the bottom taking care not to damage the lugs, push the top cover back in to position.

This will click in to position locating to the mirror assembly and lower cover.
