The Problem

The poor quality spring situated high up in the clutch pedal box will often snap

The standard spring installed from factory is poor quality and often snaps under pressure. It can also become detached from the back of the clutch pedal. The spring is also situated high up on the clutch box, causing unnecessary pressure on the spring. The spring snapping causes the clutch pedal to fall to the floor which in turn makes it challenging to change gears.

The original spring is time consuming to replace as the pedal box would need to be removed entirely making it an expensive repair if carried out by a carried garage. On average 5 hours+ would be quoted. The new spring would also be likely to snap so the repair would need to be carried out again and again.

You Will Receive

1 x Carbon steel clutch spring

No tools necessary.

This entire repair can be completed in situ, you will not need to remove the clutch pedal box or any components. It will take 2 minutes to install this item.

Firstly identify the two areas where the clutch spring locates.

1) The hook on the underside of the clutch pedal

2) The moulded section next to the clutch pedal

Hook one side of the clutch assist spring on the underside of the clutch pedal, whilst pressing the "U" shaped hook on the otherside of the spring into the moulded section next to the clutch pedal. It will click into place.
