Hii friend,

Today I am going to make variable voltage power supply using mosfet IRFZ44N.

In different circuit we require different voltages to operate the circuit. So by using this circuit we can get desire voltages (upto-15V).

Let's get started,

Take All Parts

Components required -

(1.) Mosfet - IRFZ44N x1

(2.) Connecting wires.

(3.) Potentiometer - 100K x1 [To adjust the voltage]

(4.) Multimeter [For measuring voltage]

(5.) DC Power Supply - 15V

Solder Mosfet

At first we have to solder mosfet into the potentiometer like as picture.

Middle pin of mosfet to the 1st pin of potentiometer and

1st pin of mosfet to the middle pin of potentiometer as shown in picture.

Give Power Supply

Next solder power supply wire to the circuit.

+ve wire of Input power supply to the 1st pin of potentiometer and

-ve wire of Input power supply to the 3rd pin of potentiometer as shown in picture.

Solder Output Wire

Connect output wire of power supply.

+ve wire of output power supply to the 3rd pin of mosfet and

-ve wire of output power supply to the 3rd pin of potentiometer as shown in the picture.

Circuit Is Ready

Now circuit is ready,

Give 15V DC power supply to the circuit and connect digital multimeter in the wire of output power supply and measure its voltage.

Rotate the knobe of potentiometer and measure its voltages.

Voltage will changes according to the rotation of knob of potentiometer.

Thank you
