Vampire Flowers
Ever since I was little, I was abscessed with everything creepy. I would alter everyday items into creepy decor just for fun. I am very happy to show others my work and enjoy seeing their versions as well.
Supplies
The supplies you will need are
- Smooth foam balls (preferably 2.4 in)
- Scissors or box cutters
- Plastic flowers
- Small wooden stick
- Paint of your choosing
- Plastic vampire teeth
- Hot glue gun
The Foam Ball
Cut about 1/4th of the foam out of your ball to make a pacman like structure.
Painting
Once your foam is cut you can paint the ball whatever color you want. (I chose to do dark purple or violet)
Cutting Your Vampire Teeth
While your paint is drying grab your plastic vampire teeth and cut them at the corners where the bend.
Fake Flower
Set your vampire teeth aside after cutting and grab your fake flower and take the top of it off. There should be a little plastic piece once the green plastic of the flower head is taken off.
Wood Set Up
Grab your small stick and put a dolop of hot glue to get the green piece and stick to stay together. Once that has dried put the green plastic parts back together and place the fabric part of the flower back on with hot glue.
Gluing Your Teeth and Foam Together
Your now painted foam ball should be dry by now so take that and your plastic teeth and hot glue the teeth to the ball one at a time. You can fill in any spaces with hot glue if you need.
Side Note
If there is any hot glue visible you can paint over it once it is dry.
Placing a Hole
From the bottom row of the vampire teeth, go an inch outward and form a small hole the size of the stick you hot glued earlier. You can shorten the stick if you need.
Placing the Foam on the Flower
Add glue in the hole of he foam ball and glue the stick and foam together.
Placing the Flower Back on the Stem
You can glue the petals of the flower to you oam if you want but other than that you are done. you can now stick the flower back on the steam and use it as a prop or make multiple and you them as decor. You now have a vampire flower!
