Valentine's Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

Today I'm going to teach you how to make delicious chocolate covered strawberries to make your Valentine's Day a little sweeter! You may need to go to the store to buy some ingredients or supplies, so don't forget to check the list below.

Supplies

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries
  • Valentine's Sprinkles
  • Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers

Supplies:

  • Microwavable Bowl
  • Wooden Skewers
  • Plate or Tray
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Parchment Paper

Gather Your Materials

Go to store and buy listed materials or gather materials from house to prepare for recipe.

Microwave Chocolate

Pour your chocolate into a microwave safe bowl and place in microwave. Microwave for thirty second increments until melted and stir between each increment. (about a minute and a half)

Wash and Cut Strawberries

Take your strawberries and rinse with water. Don't forget to dry them off with a paper towel! After the strawberries are washed, cut into heart shapes shown in the picture.

Stir Melted Chocolate

When chocolate is finished melting, take out of the microwave and stir.

Poke Skewers Into Strawberries

Take washed and cut strawberries and poke wooden skewers into the bottom through the middle. Take your plate or tray and parchment paper. Place parchment paper onto plate or tray.

Dip Strawberries

Take your bowl of chocolate and strawberries with skewers. Dip your strawberries in the chocolate.

Dunk Strawberry

Completely dunk your strawberry in the chocolate to cover the whole fruit. Use a spoon to help. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.

Decorate Strawberries

Place freshly chocolate dipped strawberries onto a plate or tray with parchment paper. While chocolate is still wet on strawberries, pour your desired amount of sprinkles.

Put Strawberries in Freezer

Take the wooden skewers out of the strawberries and put your decorated strawberries in freezer to dry. Leave them in there for about 10 minutes.

Serve

Take strawberries out of freezer and serve. When not eating strawberries, put them in a container and place in your fridge.
