Valentine Heart Hand Warmers for Your Sweetheart

Lavender and Pine Rice Filled Hand Warmers

• fabric scissors
• jasmine rice
• essential oil of your choice...I used pine
• lavender flower buds
• spoon
• sewing needle, thread or sewing machine
• stock paper
• fabric
• pen or fabric marker

First thing first. This project can be described in one big step!

Pick out your fabric.

Use stock paper to trace the size of the heart you want your hand warmers to be. Small, medium, large. Hey, it depends on the hands that will hold them! After you cut out the heart, trace on the fabric to make four hearts.

Cut them out, and get your sewing needle ready or sewing machine. I made these by hand with a blanket stitch!

In a bowl I had jasmine rice, lavender flower buds, and pine essential oil mixed together.

After you sew most of the heart, leave a bit of room to spoon in the rice mixture.

Sew it shut. Repeat with other hand warmer.

Gift and Give! Advise the gifted that it can be heated up in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Or used as a cold compress.
