Vacuum Tool Holder on Shed/Shop Door

My vacuum tools were all over the place. I had some in a box sitting on top of my ladder, others just lying wherever they landed. Now they are in one place and also easy to get too from outside when vacuuming the cars. This was made with just scrap materials.

This is my empty space which really can't be used for much since it's a swinging door. I have a double door on my shop and one door is already holding my vac hose, so I think this puts everything in one area and it's easy to get to whether I am in the shop or out.

This was made with scrap materials I already had. A piece of 2x4, a broken shovel handle and some square stock I made for something else approximately 1-1/8" square. I didn't get a picture of the aluminum piece I used for the custom hose bracket, but it was just a piece left over from another project, about 1/8" thick.

The holder is screwed in between the door frame, not to the door sheathing. The tool holders are screwed in place with a 2-1/2" drywall screw. I bent the aluminum bracket so it would hold the hose.

So far this is working out nicely. My shop vac w/ cyclone sits tucked away in the shop and I use an old pool hose to give me more distance to vacuum. Now I can just hook the smaller diameter black hose up to my blue hose and it works good in the cars. The suction is better too because of the reduction in hose diameter.
