choose the veneer you like for your lampshade

this one has three different types of veneer - Zebrano, Walnut and African Walnut

i like to send it before i cut it

for this base I cut 18 Stripes

45cm long , 2.5cm wide

You can use the ruler wide

you can add more stripes if you like it to be at a higher density

The lampshade is made of two parts

Each part has 9 stripes (one in the middle and 4 on each side)

I started from the middle part

and then glue one stripe from the right and one from the left

add glue only the top parts- hold with clamps- and wait to dry

continue 3 more times

note that you keep the same distance each sripe you add

Gluing Part Two

this part is a little more tricky

you need to be fast and glue all stripes together

you need to find a way to keep the curve you want ( be creative :)

i used my lamp and some rubber band for the curve as you can see in the picture

u can also drilled a hole at the top center if it help
It will be used later to connect the two parts

at the bottom i also started with the middle stripe which is the shortest one

and the one from right and one from left - same way as step 4

make sour you glue them in the same order as the top

Connect the Tow Parts

after gluing the top and the bottom of two parts

drill a center hole at the top of them

make sure it's in the same distance from the end
i drilled a hole 2.5 cm from the top

Attach the screw and nut to the hole at the top of one part
and glue the laser cut discs (diameter 130mm) at the bottom

Almost Done

Attach the screw and nut to the second part

add one nut each side so it will hold it together

and then glue the bottom to the same the laser cut discs

hold with clamps until it will dray
