Have fun turning an old dresser drawer into a functional easy to make shelf! My dresser drawers began to bow out on the bottom and they stopped being able to hold anything. So I took them apart and made shelves out of them! All you need is a screwdriver, old drawers and some creativity! I made two different models, which you can see here. I hope they inspire you, please comment with the results of your own builds!

Supplies

Philipps screw driver
An old drawer (or a whole set!)

Take a screw driver and disassemble your drawers. Go slowly and avoid damaging the boards. I also removed the dresser handles, as they impede a good shelf, imo.

Take the joiners that used to hold the drawer together and reconnect the sturdy pieces that make up the sides of the drawer into whatever configuration you'd like. Experiment with different styles and customize to your own needs.

Enjoy and Customize

Put your shelf up and correct any bowing or leaning. Customize as you like using paint or by placing nails/screws in the sides, which allow you to hang things.
