Unusual Use of Baking Soda and Tide for a Sparkly Slimy Summer
Slime fascinates me. Who isn't fascinated by it at 11? I was the one who started the slime fad at my school. After reading stories of accidents involved making slime with borax, I was determined to make perfect slime with perfectly safe household ingredients. After several trials with different things in our house, now I can make super cool slime every time using baking soda, Tide, and glitter glue of course. In this Instructable, I'm going to show you how to make sparkly slime so get ready for the fun!
Ingredients and Tools
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Elmer's Classic glitter glue
1 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp Tide Clean Breeze detergent
1 tsp water
Tools:
Not much, just 1/4 cup measuring cup, measuring spoons, a cup or bowl and a stick to stir.
Measure, Mix, and Massage
Measure out the glue, then add the baking soda to the glue.
Mix them well.
Add Tide detergent, mix well. It should feel close to the real thing now.
Add water to help get the mass off the bowl, knead it between two hands over a piece of waterproof fabric or plastic for a few minutes.
Tada! There you have it!
What Now?
Have fun with it of course. You can wear it as a curly bracelet, what a fashion statement! Or turn it into a jump rope, try jumping rope with it. My friend and me had tons of fun with it. You don't see her because I didn't get to ask her for permission to show her in photos before publishing this article. What manipulations will you do with it?
Have a fun sparkly slimy summer! Please vote it for Unusual Uses Challenge contest if you like it. Thanks a lot!
