Under Two Wall Diamond Knot

The diamond knot is an attractive stopper knot but can loosen when handled, especially when nylon or other synthetic material is used.

I show four strands here but any number greater than three is possible following these instructions

Study the photographs. The under two wall diamond knot shown on the left in each photo, because of the added crossings, is more secure than the ordinary diamond knot shown the right

The added crossings come from the use of the UNDER TWO wall knot.

Here is a loosely tied under two wall diamond knot. The cord passes UNDER ONE crown and UNDER THREE strands as it goes through the center

In the regular crown each cord goes UNDER ONE crown and UNDER TWO crossing strands as it goes through the center.

The diamond knot is a combination of the crown knot where each strand goes OVER the adjacent strand

and the Wall knot where each strand goes UNDER the adjacent strand.

Tie the Regular Diamond Knot

To make the regular diamond knot first tie a crown knot and underneath it a wall knot.

Next bring any strand (grey in the photo) through the center of the crown.
