Under Bed Storage

Just replaced my hand made platform bed for a new metal frame bed, but oh no we don't have any storage under the bed now.
I glad I kept a couple of old drawers in my loft.
Now all I need is a frame.

What I needed was a drawer frame.
To make it I cut out 2 x side panels, 4 x cross rails and 4 x drawer slides.

The frame, drawer fronts and the cross rails have to be painted.
I made some Oatmeal and raisin cookies between coats of paint,
from a recipe I saw on this site. Yum.

I screwed small brass hooks into the rails, so that I could hang them up to dry between coats.

Glue and screw the drawer slides on to the side panels.

Assemble the frame using the cross rails, and slide the drawer into place.
