Uncurl Curling Leather Cord: Just a Technique

I've been making some adjustable leather necklaces, but there is a problem. The leather cord maintains its curled shape when coming off the spool. So, I spent some time searching the 'net for a solution. One such solution make me remember that I have a tool that might actually work for this. Here is my experiment.
Supplies

For equipment, you will need:
- A wire straightener
For materials, you will need:
- A length of plain leather cord
NOTE: I have not yet attempted this technique on anything but plain leather cord. I have done nothing dyed, braided, or not leather. Use this technique on other materials at your own risk.
Set the Cord on the Straightener

Set the cord on the straightener.
Wrap the Straightener Around the Cord

Wrap the straightener around the cord.
Pull the Cord Through the Straightener

Pull the cord through the straightener.
VoilĂ !

You now have a mostly uncurled leather cord.
