This Instructable is the easiest speaker Instructable I have seen, and its the most customizable one. The first couple I made I sold, or gave away for presents. These are great gifts for a tech junkie or whoever. This is amazingly simple too!

Materials

1. Speakers- I have a lot of these laying around but the price varies between each speaker
2. Screwdriver (optional)
3. Wire cutters
4. 1/8" mono phone jack- can get a box of three at radio shack for a couple dollars
5. Box of choice- just find one lying around
6. Of course you need a penguin. Just cause their cool :)

Customizing the Speaker Box

First off, you want to make holes a little smaller than the speakers because you want them to fit nicely and not fall through. Once you've done that you need to fasten the speakers onto the box. I usually use duct tape because it fixes everything and you can't see it if you did a good job. I actually screwed one in because I didn't mess up the box bad enough, so you have a lot of options.

Soldering and Finishing

After everything is set in then its time to wire it up. The simple way to do it is to take one wire from each speaker and twist all of those "one wires" together then do the same with the remaining wires. In the end you should have two big twisted wires. If you get them mixed up the connection wont work. The good thing is that as long as the wires are making the correct connection then you can have as many speakers as you want. You then need to solder the two big wires on to each terminal. If you can't solder then just take the wire and run it through the terminal hole ant kind of twist it on there. The last step is to put a hole any where you want for the phone jack, but only make it just big enough for it. If its to big it'll fall when you try to plug anything into it.
