I am a mothers boy and when i was younger I always made stuff for my mother, and never for my dad( poor dad) so why should i stop now? i won't

In this instructable I will show you how to create a lightbulb vase. This is a very easy thing to do and like you can see on the picture, it looks awesome.

What do you need:

  • a dremel tool or a grinder
  • a drill
  • screwdriver or something else pointy
  • a file
  • some steel wire
  • and a small kind of rope/ thread

Open Up the Lightbulb

This is the most tricky step. If you do this without care, you can break the lightbulb. Use your Dremel/ grinder to cut away the black part of the lightbulb. When this is cut away you opened the bulb

Clear the Inside

Use something pointy to break the glass inside the lightbulb. After you done this use the file to grind away all the sharp glass.

Drill Some Holes

Now drill the holes for the steel wire. Make sure that you drill the holes straight, because if you don’t your lightbulb will not be able to hang straight. For this I used a wood drill because it had a pointy end. The material is really soft so this is no problem.

Assemble

Attach the wire like on the picture. Use a tongs to twist the wire around it self

Go Get Some Flowers

Once you bought or picked some flowers and filled your bulb with water, you can give this wonderful gift to your mother.
