USB Powered Toothbrush

Brush teeth while you're near a USB port for TWO DOLLARS.

Parts to Get

1- dollar store battery operated toothbrush
1- dollar store USB cable

Gut-n-Cut

1. open toothbrush
a. remove BATTERY LEADS ( little strips of metal and spring )
b. remove BATTERIES and SWITCH from bottom of toothbrush
c. keep MOTOR, BATTERY HOLDER and BOTTOM OF TOOTHBRUSH

2. cut USB cable to desired length
a. take cut end and strip about 3 in. of outer insulation ( should expose four wires )
b. strip tips of the BLACK and RED WIRES
c. cut the other two remaining wires

Wire It Up

1. slide cut end of USB CABLE through hole where SWITCH was

2. slide about half inch of HEAT SHRINK onto BLACK and RED WIRES

3. solder BLACK WIRE to one of the MOTOR LEADs

4. solder RDE WIRE to the other MOTOR LEAD

5. cover MOTOR LEADS and WIRE TIPS with HEAT SHRINK

6. hot glue USB CABLE that still has all insulation into the TOOTHBRUSH BOTTOM
**WAIT THIRTY MINUTES TO COOL**

Reassemble

1. slide BATTERY HOLDER back onto MOTOR

2. slide MOTOR ASSEMBLY back into TOOTHBRUSH

3. tuck in the WIRES and refit TOOTHBRUSH BOTTOM to TOOTHBRUSH

Plug your toothbrush into a USB port and brush up. Remove the toothbrush tip and it can be used for all kind of stuff.CFH
