Hey guys Patrick here and today I am going to show you how to make a DIY USB highlighter from an old USB stick and a highlighter. All you need is a USB stick, Highlighter, X-Acto knife and a lighter.

Striping the USB

All I needed to to to get the cover off the USB was to get my nail and pry the cover off the USB. The housing came apart in two peices.

Prepairing the Hightlighter

All i needed to do to prep the highlighter was to open the top and then cut the housing off the top.

Putting the USB in the Highlighter

To cut the opening for the USB to fit through I used an X-Acto knife and a lighter to heat the blade. The lighter allowed me to heat the blade letting me cut the plastic cap with ease. Then when your ready stuff the USB into the Highlighter. Now you can go and use your own USB highlighter.
