UAMS: Universal Arm Mounting System

IMG_9598.jpg

This is a arm mounting system designed for mounting cameras, lights, and other small things. As this project progresses, more mounts will be designed on my end, and hopefully, the maker community (that's you!) will post their custom mounts as a remix! If there are any remixes, I will link them in the "Files" step of this Instructable. The mounts you see there are the only ones available. If you are going to design a Mount, please Note: Mounts for mounting an Arm onto something should have a male end, and mounts for mounting something onto an Arm should have a female end.

Mount specific instructions will also be at the end of this Instructable. If you have any mount requests, please let me know, and I will do my best to oblige.

Assembly is pretty simple. Just put a male end of the mount into a female mount and fasten with a M4x35mm Screw and M4 hex nut.

Mount Specific

Flat Surface Mount: Use 4 screws to fasten this on your prefered surface.

Creality CR10-S Front Mount: This mounts onto the Y Axis Belt bracket, as pictured. You will need additional hardware: 2x M2x6mm or 8mm Socket Head Cap Screw, and 2x M2 Brass Threaded Inserts (The holes for inserts are designed for inserts with a 2.9mm Outer Diameter. I recommend purchasing these. It's well worth having some of most sizes on hand!).

Assemble as pictured. The inserts are supposed to be pressed into the Arm Mounting piece. After pressing in the inserts, you might need to push out any plastic buildup in the screw holes.

Logitech C270 Camera Mount: 1x M3x25mm Screw needed for Camera mounting, and 1x M4x25mm screw for Arm mounting
