Tying Bottom Bouncers

Hi, I’m Ty Sanow and I am an avid outdoorsman and today I’m going to teach you how to tie and rig up a bottom bouncer. I am going to provide you with 5 easy steps to rigging up and tying a bottom bouncer using the Palomar know. Knowing how to tie a bottom bouncer is a helpful thing to know so you can try it out on the water. The bottom bouncer is one of the most popular rigs when it comes to trolling for walleye and this is why you should add it to your arsenal when targeting walleye.

1. Fishing Pole

2. Swivel

3. Bottom Bouncer

4. Spinner with a leader

Written Instructions

1. Put the line through the swivel eyelet and then run it back through leaving a loop on one end and two separate strands on the other.

2. Take the two ends and wrap them around each other as if you were going to tie a knot creating a hole in the middle

3. Put the loop side through the hole you just made and then stick the swivel through the side you just put through the middle hole.

4. Pull Tight!

5. Once you have the swivel tied on you can now take the eyelet of the bottom bouncer and attach it to the swivel you just tied.
