Two Person Bucket Buddy for Carrying Heavy Buckets

A two person bucket carrying system was fabricated for students performing vocational training tasks in a farm based setting. The Bucket Buddy not only distributes the weight of the bucket and contents between the two users, but also teaches teamwork required to be successful in vocational tasks.
Materials
- · 1 piece 42" x 7" x 3/4” plywood
- · Metal hook. We used a " J " hook from wheelchair seating hardware. Any other " J " style hook will work provided it has a sufficient load rating.
- · (2) 1/4" x 1 1/2" bolts
- · (2) 1/4" lock washers
- · (2) 1/4" nut
Cutting, Preparing the Wood

Cut the 3/4 inch plywood as shown in the diagram.
Use a round over bit with a router or laminate trimmer to round the sharp corners on all edges of the plywood. Lightly sand.
Attach the "j" Hook

Locate the center of the wooden piece where you will attach the hook. Pre-drill 1/4" hole(s) to match the configuration of your hook. Attach the hook to the plywood using the bolts, washers, and nuts. (The picture shown has one bolt)
Thank You
